How Our Rush Service Works
Our rush policy is simple and we hold to it:
- 2:30 PM cutoff — rush requests received by 2:30 PM get a same-day service attempt.
- Daily attempts after that — if the first attempt doesn't result in service, we make our best efforts to attempt every day until service is completed.
- Requests after the cutoff — rush requests received after 2:30 PM are worked in the same rush rotation, with daily attempts until service is completed.
- Proof of service — once service is completed, you receive a sworn affidavit of service documenting the date, time, location, and person served.
A same-day attempt is not the same as same-day service. Whether a person is served on the first attempt depends on whether they're home, available, and willing to come to the door, which no process server controls. What we control is getting a server to the address the same day and continuing to attempt every day after that.

Getting a Rush Job Started
The fastest rush jobs are the ones that arrive complete. When you call (801) 773-8220 or email heidi@andersonattorneyservices.com, send:
- The documents to be served, in final form
- The full name of the person or business to be served
- Every address you have — home, work, and any alternates
- A description or photo, if you have one, to help the server identify the right person
- Your deadline — the hearing date or the date service must be completed by
Tell us it's a rush when you send it, so it's routed before the 2:30 PM cutoff.
When the Address Is the Problem
A rush doesn't help if the person moved last month. If the address you have may be out of date, our skip tracing team can work to locate a current address so attempts go to the right place. For more on standard service, see process service. Rush subpoenas follow the same policy; see subpoena service. If you need documents filed or picked up at the courthouse, our court services and runner services teams can help, and our customized affidavits can match your firm's format.
Frequently Asked Questions About Rush Process Service
What is your rush cutoff time?
Our rush cutoff is 2:30 PM. All rush requests received by 2:30 PM get a same-day service attempt.
Do you guarantee same-day service?
No. We guarantee a same-day attempt for rush requests received by 2:30 PM, not same-day completion. Whether service happens on the first attempt depends on the person being available. After the first attempt, we make our best efforts to attempt every day until service is completed.

We make our best efforts to attempt service every day until it is completed, and we keep you updated on the attempts.
What if I send a rush request after 2:30 PM?
Rush requests received after the 2:30 PM cutoff are not guaranteed a same-day attempt. We make our best efforts to attempt every day until service is completed.
Do you offer rush service outside Salt Lake City?
Yes. We handle rush requests throughout Utah. For more remote areas, call (801) 773-8220 so we can discuss scheduling.
Will I get proof of service on a rush job?
Yes. Every completed service includes a sworn affidavit of service noting the date, time, location, and person served.
